Hi all! I had a very good day today! In the afternoon I was suppose to fly with the CFI, so we went and got the 3rd K13 from the hanger and then while the CFI was flying first with somebody else, one of the instructors become available and I flew with him the next 5 sorties. First 3 winch launches and then 2 high cable breaks! Great!!! Next time I need more cable breaks, the middle ones and the very low one(s) which I will not do, the instructor only demonstrates them, that is all, because those are done in such a low height there is no margin for error. I am getting near the first winch solo!
The launch point is lovely for great stories! Sometimes it seems more interesting to stay there and listen the story telling than go off in a glider! Today the duty pilot told us story when a glider pilot landed near the stately home and the lady of the house sent the butler to bring him in to have the afternoon tea with her. Later when the crew arrived, the butler announced that pilot´s crew had arrived. So the lady sent the butler to take the crew to the kitchen to have their afternoon tea there with the servants.
What a lovely World we live in and the lovely hobby we have!!!
Photos from yesterday and today at the launch point.

This is yesterday, when it was suppose to be a mega day. Charlie took off hoping to do 400km but ended up with 200km. On the right is the man who drives the tractor and cuts the grass. That is his hobby, he does not fly. |
