At the moment the cloud base is not high enough for spinning. We will see what happens.
Anyway, it's brilliant to have the internet connection!!! We have had problems with it since Saturday, most of the day it has been off during the week end and this morning until just half an hour ago.
About yesterday's flying...
Yesterday on Sunday was a
real winter’s day, really cold. After being on a launch point for a dew hours I
started thinking of walking back to the caravan and getting my long johns, it
was that cold. By then my turn to fly was getting nearer and I thought I will
survive and in the end I survived without. It was one of the coldest days here.
It really sorts out the men from the boys!
I flew with Vicky again, did 3 launches. She is a great instructor. Bubbly, jolly and
great at teaching. And she is just 23 of age! Well, all the instructors are
good, all in their own way. I have learned a lot from each one of them.
I looked into how much weight I need for a solo.
One of the K13 has got a placard stating 160lb for the solo minimum, but Vicky
said that top of that I would need 20lb to be on a safe side. The club weights each
are 11kg. I need to check all the K13 gliders, the weight requirements vary.
Today at the launch point one of topics was Princess Diana
and the lads were discussing where they were
when they heard the sad news! Mind you it was the lads talking, not us
ladies!
The internet connection is not working, it was off most of
the yesterday. So I will upload the Blog sometime on Monday. My plan was to
watch the Bridge tonight….
On Monday I would like do the stalling and spinning. The cloud base was not high enough today nor
yesterday.
