We had 2 good days, the Air League Saturday, when we did 230 winch- and aerotow launches in a day, mega party and BBQ in the evening. Sunday was a normal Sunday flying, we were short of instructors, something to do with busy Sunday and beeing a good cross country day on Saturday. I spent over 8hrs in the launch point and finally flew after 6pm. I flew with Marjorie, last time I flew with her a week ago. We had 3 good flights, I am really getting the hang of it now. I am looking forward the Wednesday as it should be the next good day.
I was so tired last night, after being in a fresh air the whole day. Now I have my usual summer color, which is brown/red nose and cheeks but forehead totally white, that comes from wearing a gliding hat!
I have been washing clothes today.
Norman wrote a very interesting article about the crop spraying, specially interesting how it all was done in those days, said my sister in her email!
I hope Norman will supply me with more material, which I could publish in my humble blog! He writes so well and has got a good sense of humor and I am sure you all like reading something else than my simple rough living in a water leaking caravan, which I escape to the bunk house when ever I can! Well, that was my choice for the summer! It was a romantic idea, the reality turned out to be something different and specially in a wet summer... I know now how the homeless people must feel carrying their belongings with them and sleeping in doorways or where ever they can find shelter. In London many years ago I visited many of them when I wrote a few articles about the subject.
Also I wrote an article about Mikko, a Finnish student who spent his last summer instructing at Camphill Gliding Club before graduating and going into the real World to work. He was very satisfied for his adventure.
