Great wisdom on Thursday morning...

Yesterday I mentioned about the Bicester pilots flying naked and this morning I wrote bit more on that posting, which I copied here. My great wisdom!

... been learning things today. More tomorrow, hopefully. And I shall not fly naked! But there again... one should always try to break boundaries... so... and as one is nearing the big 60 years of age (still many years ahead, mind you) one should remember that the decade between 60 and 70 is the last decade to do all the things one wants to do during one`s life time. And that decade should be the best. Reason being one should still be in a good health and sound of mind to make a difference. After that 70-80 -decade is a slow slowing down period towards the death. Anyway, my great act yesterday was the great spot landing with the Chairman when he asked me to land between 2 gliders on a launch point, rather near each other and to stop that we could take off again! And I did it just right! Just like the instructors do, so no time is wasted to bring the glider back! I just hope all the spectators understood that it was my doing, not the Chairman's spot landing!!! Can I still do it when I am 75!!!

I wish you all would comment on my posts!

The cloud base in low. We are waiting it to lift up. I think I will sort out the caravan. I spent the whole day in a launch point and evening in a bar on a computer, watching TV occasionally, etc and the caravan is just for sleeping.

Waiting for your comments!

  1. I took pictures of the last girl to fly naked, about 15 years ago. She raised over £100 in under an hour when someone suggested it and all the male pilots threw some money in to a bucket to sponsor her.

She flew a Primary glider - use google to see what that is, but sadly she had an all female launch crew and retrieve crew.

I suggested raising more money buy selling prints of the event, but never got round to printing them. This was in the days of using cameras that used a roll of film, not a digital one.
