Cold times ahead and rain, too! I just came to UK too early... how can I survive until the sun comes out...?
Tomorrow night is going to be a tough night. THE TEMPERATURE IS GOING TO BE PERHAPS -2C... AND THE LADIES BUNK ROOM IS FULL FOR THE NIGHT, SO I NEED TO TRY TO SURVIVE IN A CARAVAN!!! That is going to be a night to remember, I am sure. Keep your fingers crossed! I will let you know on Sunday whether I survived the night....
Hi all! Been a busy day, no gliding still, but I did my hair this morning, warm bathroom, mirror on a wall and all that, you know!!! Then I got the hoover and hoovered the floor and did bit of cleaning in a ladies bunk room. Then I got to know that there is a second fridge which only one person uses, so I defrosted that and cleaned! What a difference. And it has got a freezer as well! Splendid.
Then I met the tug master in a member's kitchen, made him cup of tea. We spoke about MGPL and PPL. He also advised me to get the MGPL included in JAR PPL. He told me that I can even do all 12hrs in a motor glider. So which means I could fly those hours in a Motor Falke, which lots of gliding clubs have. And he also said that in Uk I could get included for a fee without flying with an examiner if I have 75hrs in it. Which I have, now I will get in touch with Finnish CAA, so they have the same rule.
Then the tug master showed me around the hanger. We spoke with the man who is the boss for the vintage repair aeroplane company in the hanger. I nearly made a terrible mess there, we were admiring his wartime green land rover type of vehicle and I was walking around without looking and then realized that I had been backing to the Cup L4 wing which was lying on a floor!!! My God! Had I fallen on it, I think I would have needed to emigrate there and then. I am not joking. I really got scared. I am a headless chicken!
I started writing a short story again, continuing one. There is a computer wizard who has been telling me how I could get it translated into English quite easily. Also he had been informing me about today's possibilities using the internet how one can try to sell a book via the internet. No need necessary to use the traditional ways to get the a book published! So, keep your fingers crossed! Will Bicester make me a writer this Summer or will I join the huge group of countless wanna-be-writers who never make it - anyway, my writing keeps me occupied and prevents me getting into street gangs, fights etc... I already wear a hood, that is only to keep me warm, honestly!
