On Monday morning, the 2nd of July 2012

It is raining and I am still 58 years of age!

The bar was busy last night, I left the bar at midnight, I just had a small bottle of red wine, really a small bottle. Honestly. It contains only one glass of wine. I was on a computer most of the evening, before that made a lamb stew to last for a few days. I am not into ready made meals what seems to be the most preferred option around here. I didn't spent much time in a around the bar. After computing I got my crocheting out and finished one square.

The board of directors had a meeting last night, for 2.5 hrs in a Dick Stratten room without a single beer! They started at 6pm, we continued flying bit longer. We did nearly 90 launches yesterday, of which 4 were mine.

The board of directors decided that anyone who completes the Ascat course will get 2 years membership free. Before they used to get £300.

Even that we have had a poor weather and flown less Groupon trial flights this year comparing with the last, the total number of launches have fallen very little!!! Reason is that club members have flown more, so the club have taken on Alan Smith to fly members on Thursdays and Fridays. Also there have been visiting instructors from other clubs during the week days to help out. They get paid. In many clubs instructors find difficult to keep their ratings, as there are not enough instructing going on.

During the week end in a bar a pilots wife told me that his husband spends too much time a the here, while she is at home on her own. The man comes here most evenings after work, has a pint or two, chats and then after an hour or hour and half goes home, during the weekend he spends all the evenings here. The wife comes here sometimes during the week end evenings.

Charlie is taking up sailing. He wants to introduce his 3 sons into sailing. Also that is a hobby where family spends time together. They had gone to see several sailing clubs on Saturday to choose from.
